Science MoJo is an online media outlet specialising in science journalism and opinion. Julie Milland is the founder.
The word “mojo” means appeal but it also stands for Mobile Journalism, a new way that people are telling stories from the streets. Science MoJo aims to experiment with a mix of traditional and new ways of telling science stories.
Julie will avoid humour on Science MoJo as she has a sneaking suspicion that she is unfunny.
Boring Bio Bits
Julie has a PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Melbourne and a 20-year career as a senior medical research scientist. She completed the Diploma of Professional Writing and Editing from RMIT University and is currently studying in the Master of Journalism course at University of Melbourne.
